Celebrity Relationships - Shaq Files for Divorce

Recently Shaq filed for divorce from his wife of 5 years and mother to their 4 children. NBA, or pro athletes in general are not known for their faithfulness; so when when the divorce first surfaces it should be of no surprise. But this time the man is filling for the divorce, which means she messed up. Now the rumor here in Miami is that she has been seeing her personal trainer. Thats not the bad part though... She bought the mouthfucker a $650k condo on the beach!!!! Now I know what your saying he's just getting what he dished out, because he was probably cheating too. But you don't go buy that kinda a gift with your man's money and don't expect for him to get upset. Buy the personal trainer an outfit, but now a half a mil condo.

On a bigger picture what is your thoughts on dating or marrying a celebrity or pro athlete. The industry is not know for their faithfulness. So how as a female do you really take the relationship seriously? Or is everyone getting what they want out of the deal? He gets his trophy wife that will bare him children and she get the house, money and fame. Who is to blame the man or the woman?

I think being happy in a relationship is more important than being with someone who cheats on you just for material status.

nefty - in a celebrity or wealthy person's case, how do you really know the other persons intention?

Jim - you could have put your name after writing about mary in your comment

i think the folk involved should establish the rules for the relationship at the beginning. that way folk won't get confused when stuff like this happens. i mean, she should have asked shaq if it was aiight for her to get her a man. he might have been down with it if she'd consulted him first.

He might have been game, considering he has groupies. He probably would have just asked her not to be in the news or buying the dude a HALF-a-MIL dollar crib on the water

My personal Bloopty Blah response is... I do not have the mentality to be an athlete/entertainers wife.... miscellaneous bullshit always poppin' up and I am suppose to act like some shit doesn't matter? Actually, I am good for walking away from chaos that will have me blacking out while shivin' a muthascooter!
